Sarah Maddox, Executive Director and Founder
Mrs. Maddox holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and a Master of Arts in Professional Counseling. Ms. Maddox has been a Veterans National Service Officer (NSO) with over 20 years of claims experience, serving as an accredited NSO for several congressionally chartered Veterans Service Organizations and the Virginia Department of Veterans Affairs. She has also worked as a Child Support Enforcement Supervisor, Hearings and Legal Services Manager for DMAS, and an Institutional Rehabilitation Counselor. She recently served as a Recovery Care Coordinator (RCC) for the United States Marine Corp assisting wounded, ill, and injured service members by developing a Comprehensive Recovery Plan (CRP). Mrs. Maddox has a comprehensive knowledge of the Disability Evaluation System as well as benefits and resources available to our Active Duty Service Members, Veterans, and their families. She is the Co-Founder for the Lynchburg Area Veterans Council which is a 501(C)3 organization that assist veterans in four counties and the City of Lynchburg. She is the Co-Founder of Mil Vet Advocacy Project, Inc. Mrs. Maddox is an Army veteran.
Mr. Dunn is a retired Navy Chief Hospital Corpsman. He served as Preventive Medicine Specialist working in Environmental Health supporting the Fleet and the United States Marine Corps. He is former Service Officer for American Legion Post#269 located in Cumberland, Virginia. He currently serves as Post Commander for Jack Garland American Legion Post #32 in Farmville, Virginia. Mr. Dunn has been actively supporting active duty, veterans and their families for over forty (40) years.
